By downloading or using Lingo Snap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Small Batch Ventures LLC, an Orange County, California limited liability company.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Lingo Snap is designed for children aged 3–7 to use under direct parent or guardian supervision. By creating an account, you confirm that:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. Use a strong, unique password and do not share your credentials. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users or our services.
Lingo Snap offers three access tiers:

Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day full-access trial. After 7 days, the account reverts to the Free tier unless you subscribe. Trial eligibility is tracked per account and is not reset by reinstalling the app.
Auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation: Cancel anytime through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Lingo Snap. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Refunds: All purchases are processed through Apple and subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We may consider goodwill refunds on a case-by-case basis for billing errors — contact [email protected] within 14 days of a charge.
Price changes: We'll notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
You agree not to use Lingo Snap to:
Lingo Snap uses AI to identify objects and generate translations, sentences, and fun facts. While we work to ensure quality, we cannot guarantee that all AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for every context. Do not rely on Lingo Snap as your child's sole source of language instruction.
If you find an error, please use the in-app "Wrong translation?" feature to report it. We review all feedback and use it to improve accuracy over time.
The Lingo Snap app, its design, branding, and all original content created by Small Batch Ventures LLC are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
Photos you take remain yours. By using the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit your photos to our AI processing partner (Anthropic) solely for the purpose of identifying objects and generating educational content. This license does not permit us to store, sell, or use your photos for any other purpose.
Your use of Lingo Snap is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please read it carefully — it explains how we handle children's data under COPPA, how photos are processed, and your rights as a California resident under CCPA.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. We will remove your data from our servers within 30 days of account deletion.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you materially breach these terms. We'll give you notice where reasonably practicable.
Lingo Snap is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated translations will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Small Batch Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Lingo Snap. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Informal resolution first: Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
Binding arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Lingo Snap shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, conducted in Orange County, California, or via video conference.
Class action waiver: You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Small Batch Ventures LLC. All disputes must be brought on an individual basis only.
Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Orange County, California, if the claim qualifies under that court's jurisdictional limits.
Opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For any matters not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California.
